MicroImpulse is developing fully integrable sensor systems based on the proprietary MicroImpulse Sensor Technology platform (MIST).
The patented technology platform is based on a novel approach to Ultra-Wideband (UWB) principles, enabling MicroImpulse to create a revolutionary range of, among others, medical sensing devices which operates in non-invasive, non-contact and wireless modes. MIST is an extremely powerful technology platform based on a decade of research findings, and it forms the basis for product launches in several areas.
The first commercial product to be launched in 2012 is the Vital Sign Monitoring system (VSM) for the hospital and home care market. In the near future, MicroImpulse will launch several additional products in the medical market. A Pulse Wave Velocity (PWV) measurement system, and a hand-held and easy-to-use Hemo-/Pneumothorax detector are examples of such. Ultimately, the MIST platform enables a totally new solution for 3D imaging capabilities of vital organs.
The MIST platform is under constant development forming the basis for new products also in other markets. Product development for these markets will be sought with existing and future partners.
